I am so fortunate to live in the south, even though there are enormous  mosquitoes and microscopic gnats.  The sultry air (which is travel brochure speak for stifling humidity) is positively inspirational, really.  It has to be.  It comes along with the magnificent vistas of marsh, river, beach, and swamp that I am privileged to be able to capture on canvas. Painting has been important to me since I can remember, and my styles have grown and changed as I have.   I continue to study and practice,  and enjoy using new techniques to try to encompass the incredible beauty that surrounds us.
